Sawn lumber AD and KD
The choice between AD and KD wood depends on the final use, environmental conditions, and project requirements.
Air Dried (AD): Wood that is naturally dried outdoors, reaching a moisture content of approximately 18% to 25%. It is commonly used in structures, general carpentry, and applications where greater adaptability to ambient humidity is acceptable.
Kiln Dried (KD): Wood that is dried in a kiln under controlled conditions, reducing its moisture content to between 6% and 12%. This drying method improves dimensional stability and is ideal for furniture, flooring, and projects requiring greater precision and finish.
Decking
Decking is a solid wood solution ideal for outdoor areas such as terraces, gardens, pools, and walkways.
